Start your adventure with a convenient pickup from Ljubljana train station. Travel in a comfortable minivan to the gondola station, where you’ll embark on a scenic ride to the Velika Planina plateau. Marvel at the breathtaking views of the Kamnik Alps as you ascend.
Once at the top, take a chairlift ride to reach the heart of the plateau. Walk through the settlement, surrounded by traditional wooden houses and freely roaming cows. Stop at one of the huts to savor a traditional shepherd’s meal of sour milk and buckwheat žganci with cracklings.
Continue your walk among the houses, soaking in the stunning views. Your guide will capture these moments with a professional camera, and you’ll receive the photos the next day.
