The apartheid museum opened in 2001 and is acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world, dealing with the 20th century South Africa. The first of its kind, this museum illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid. Journey with us as we experience the fight for freedom and the struggles our predecessors had to endure so that we can enjoy a land of freedom for all. One cannot truly enjoy freedom, until we have understood what apartheid has done to the nation of South Africa.
