Your host will guide you through the historical and artistic significance of ceramic production in Triana — a tradition that dates back to Roman times and flourished under Moorish and Andalusian influence. You’ll explore how Triana became the epicenter of Spain’s ceramic artistry and how its iconic tiles helped shape the visual identity of Seville.

Next, enjoy a live demonstration by an expert artisan showcasing the three main decorative techniques that have made Triana tiles world-famous:

- Cuerda seca: The “dry cord” method used for intricate, colorful patterns separated by black lines.
- Arista tiles: A technique that uses carved molds to create raised edges, forming bold, geometric designs.
