Anaga preserves the best kept laurel forest on the island of Tenerife. A real green lung inhabited by a large number of flora and fauna practically unique. Since 2015 this area of the island was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Nevertheless it is one of the areas with the highest biodiversity in Europe.
