This tour takes you through the old town of Jávea, a place once shaped by Moors, fishermen, and merchants. Even today, every alley, every stone, every wall tells the story of this interplay of cultures, sea, and time.
The tour kicks off in the historic old town, far from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Between sandstone-colored facades and wrought-iron balconies, the old heart of Xàbia reveals itself – mystical, warm, and full of Mediterranean soul.
You'll stroll through narrow, winding alleys, their paths shimmering gold in the sunlight. Your guide will tell you stories about the city's Arab past, the fishermen who once lived here, and the time when Jávea was a hidden coastal village, protected by walls and the sea.
A highlight is a visit to the Gothic church of San Bartolomé, a mighty fortress in the heart of the old town. It tells of centuries when faith and protection went hand in hand. Right next to it is the Mercado Municipal, where the lives of the locals meet to this day – colors, scents, and voices full of character.
Continue through the old artisan district, past galleries, workshops, and small courtyards that you might only discover on this tour. Every corner holds a piece of history – sometimes visible, sometimes palpable.
