We will first start our journey from the historic city of Kandy and then head to our first tourist destination, the sri Muthumariamman Hindu TempleHindu temple of Matale. There you can see a large, brightly decorated gopuram (tower) covered with 1,008 statues of Hindu deities, intricate carvings, and colorful murals. Outside, you can find processional carts used in festivals, while the interior contains statues and altars
After that, we visit the Nalanda Gedige Buddhist temple, where you can see a unique blend of Hindu and Buddhist architecture, with intricate stone carvings depicting gods and Buddhist figures. The main rock temple complex, which is kept for preservation by a nearby reservoir, is also known as the geographical center of Sri Lanka.
After that, we will head to Dhabulla, enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings.
At the Dambulla Cave Temple, you can see five main caves that house over 150 Buddha statues, hundreds of ceiling murals, and other religious figures. Key highlights include a colossal 14-meter-long reclining Buddha statue in the first cave, along with elaborate murals depicting scenes from Buddhist mythology and statues of deities such as Vishnu and Saman. The caves are filled with large-scale and intricate art, and the murals cover a total area of 2,100 square meters.
After Dambulla Temple, we will visit the Kandalama Lake and then depart for Sigiriya

If you are interested in climbing the Lion Rock in Sigiriya, you can see ancient water gardens, the "Mirror Wall" with ancient murals and graffiti, giant lion paws at the entrance to the upper palace, and the ruins of a palace and royal complex on the top of the mountain. It offers breathtaking and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and central Sri Lanka.
If you are interested in climbing Pidurangala Rock, while climbing Pidurangala Rock, you can see the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, panoramic views of the surrounding forest and landscape, a large ancient reclining Buddha statue, and the ruins of an ancient temple complex at the base. From the top of the mountain, especially at sunrise or sunset, you can get the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of Sigiriya.
Then, if you wish, you can head to Minneriya National Park for a wildlife safari. During a safari in Minneriya National Park, you can see a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season, the most famous being the Great Elephant Concourse, where hundreds of Asian elephants gather around the Minneriya Reservoir. You can also see buffalo, spotted deer, monkeys , wild boars and a variety of birdlife, including peacocks, eagles, pelicans and hornbills.
