Embark on a full-day tour to Lake Mburo National Park from Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy a morning game drive, a walking safari, a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, and a stop at the Equator where you will have the opportunity to cross the equator

Start your day with a hotel pick-up:
• 5:00 AM: Depart from your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe for a scenic drive through Masaka to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive itself is a great opportunity to see the Ugandan countryside as you make your way to the park.

Early Morning Safari Game Drive:
• Arrival at Lake Mburo National Park: Start your safari as soon as you arrive. This is the perfect time for birdwatching, as the park is home to over 350 bird species, both migratory and residential.
Birdwatching Highlights:
o Abyssinian ground hornbill
o African finfoot
o African scops owl
o Bare-faced go-away bird
o Blue-breasted kingfisher
o Blue-headed coucal
o Brown-chested lapwing
o Carruthers’s cisticola

Wildlife Spotting: Along the way, you'll have the chance to see various animals in their natural habitat:
o Zebras, giraffes, kobs, buffaloes, impala, topi, warthogs, waterbuck, and possibly even the shy eland.
Salt Lick Visit:
• Take a break from the game drive for a walking safari to the salt lick, where you'll encounter more wildlife up close. It's a unique opportunity to observe animals in their natural behavior while on foot.

Lunch:
• After a thrilling morning, head to a designated spot within or near the park for a relaxing lunch. Take in the views of the park’s beautiful landscapes as you recharge for the afternoon activities.

Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo:
• 2:00 PM: After lunch, embark on a 2-hour boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The lake is a serene spot with stunning views and abundant wildlife.
Birdwatching on the Lake:
o Great white egret
o Heron
o Darters

Wildlife to Look Out For:
o Hippos in the water
o Crocodiles basking on the shores
o Buffaloes lounging in the mud
The boat ride provides excellent opportunities for both birdwatching and seeing animals up close.

Return to Kampala:
• 4:30 PM: After your boat cruise, begin your journey back to Kampala. On the way, stop at the Equator, a great spot for a photo opportunity as you stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere and the other in the southern hemisphere.
• 6:30 PM: Arrive back in Kampala and be dropped off at your lodge, concluding an unforgettable adventure in Lake Mburo National Park.
