Discover the diverse wildlife and track ecosystems of Queen Elizabeth National Park on a full-day tour from Kampala. See over 600 species of birds, 10 primate species, and more than 30 large game animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, and buffalo.
Depart from Kampala and drive to the park, which is located in western Uganda. Choose from two main routes to get there. The first part of the route takes you through Mbarara, covering a distance of 250 miles and taking you to the east of the park. Stop at the Igongo Cultural Centre to learn about Ankole culture, traditional homesteads, and enjoy local cuisine.
The second part of the route takes you through Masaka and Mbarara. Stop at the Equator crossing to stand at a point which divides the earth into two: the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
