Day 0: Arrival in Cao Bằng from Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Cat Ba, Ha Long
- From 7PM: Get picked up from your hotel (if it’s on a main road) or from the closest accessible point to your hotel by tram/taxi; and board a VIP Sleeper bus departing for Ha Giang at around 8-9PM
- Arriving at our hostel in Cao Bằng at around 2-4AM, you'll get a comfortable dorm bed & sleep for a few hours
Day 1: Cao Bằng City➡️Phia Thắp Village➡️Bản Giốc Waterfall
7:30 AM: Kick off your day with a hearty breakfast and an introduction to the tour at our hostel
8:30 AM: Depart to explore local ethnic villages like Phia Thắp and Phúc Sen
-Enjoy lunch near Bản Giốc Waterfall—the most stunning waterfall in Vietnam and the fourth largest border waterfall in the world!
Discover Ngườm Ngao Cave, Vietnam’s most beautiful cave, and cool off with a swim in the Quây Sơn River
5:30 PM: Check into a cozy riverside homestay, followed by a family-style dinner featuring fresh, organic dishes
Day 2: Bản Giốc Waterfall➡️Angel Eye Mountain➡️Lê Nin River
8:00 AM: Breakfast at the homestay
8:30 AM: Head to picturesque spots at Ngọc Côn and Phong Nậm for breathtaking photos
Visit the incredible Angel Eye Mountain
After lunch, continue uncovering hidden gems along the less-traveled paths
5:30 PM: Check into Mế Farmstay and enjoy a gourmet dinner paired with a cultural show by the Tày ethnic group.
Day 3: Pắc Bó Cave➡️Nà Tềnh Pass➡️Khau Cốc Chà Pass
8:00 AM: Start with breakfast at the farmstay, then head to Pắc Bó Cave and Lê Nin Stream
Conquer Nà Tềnh Pass, Bà Bán Phở slope
-Enjoy lunch on the go before ascending the dramatic Khau Cốc Chà Pass
5:00 PM: Check into a homestay in Khuổi Khon Village for a traditional family dinner, complete with “Happy Water” and raucous toasts! “1, 2, 3, Cheers!”
Day 4: Lũng Pán➡️Tĩnh Túc Pass➡️Hoài Khao Village
8:00 AM: Breakfast and coffee at the homestay
8:30 AM: Visit the enchanting Trúc Forest—a magical bamboo wonderland that will transport you to another realm
Explore traditional villages of the Tày, Nùng, and Lô Lô ethnic groups.
After lunch, conquer Tĩnh Túc Pass, once home to Southeast Asia’s largest tin mine 70 years ago
5:30 PM: Settle into a homestay in Hoài Khao Village for a relaxing evening after a day filled with adventures
Day 5: Phja Oắc Mountain➡️Cao Bằng City
8:00 AM: Breakfast at the homestay before venturing to Phja Đén National Park and Phja Oắc Mountain, known as the “Roof of Cao Bằng”
Check out the traditional handicraft village at Phja Đén, where locals create Vietnam’s finest Miến Dong
Explore the ancient pine forest of Nguyên Bình, where the French once used helicopters to plant pine trees
4:30 PM: Return to Cao Bằng City, wrapping up an unforgettable journey. Before you leave, don’t forget to give your guide a big hug—you’ll miss them more than your ex
If you chose the option that includes drop-off in Hanoi/Ninh Binh/Ha Long/Cat Ba, the sleeper bus will pick you up here between 3-6p.m. The bus arrives in these cities in the night time

- Physical Fitness: This tour involves extended periods on a motorcycle, so it's not suitable for individuals with back problems, heart conditions, pregnant women, children under 6, or adults over 70.
- Tour Intensity: While there are frequent breaks, expect long stretches on the bike and some muscle soreness.
- Accommodation & Food: We select homestays with pools and scenic views. Meals use fresh local ingredients and are rotated to avoid repetition.
- Transportation: 150cc motorbikes ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.
- Group Size: To ensure safety and comfort, groups are limited to 11 participants, though you may meet other tour groups during your journey.
