Linhai is a historical city, famous for the 1600yrs southern Greatwall stems from East Jin Dynasty (AD402), which is Beijing Greatwall's source and inspiration and also a 1km old street since Tang dynasty with traditional architecture that still has many old people living and also a hill with 3 pagodas next to it and a temple also dates back to Tang dynasty at the hill foot.

Linhai is 1.5hrs to Hangzhou East and 2.5hrs to Shanghai Hongqiao by bullet train. The trip starts from picking you up at the Linhai station and also ends at sending you back at the Linhai station. So the train ticket is borne by yourself too and also the accommodation if you want to stay a night and to feel the evening life of this small city.

The whole trip will take like 5-6hrs, including photo-taking, snacks and lunch time, as we are in a chill vibe and history-understanding pace and don't bring big luggage, as we are light-weight travel, each trip has 1–4 people, car either doesn't have too much space for big luggage. Besides, we will climb the Greatwall, so better in sports shoes and also people with mobility impairments would be hard to march.

By the way, if you have extra days, there are other two 5A spots just 20-30km away by car. One is called Shenxianju, famous for its stunning volcanic rhyolite landform mountain view and mountain trekking experience. Another is called Guoqing temple, a 1400yrs Buddhist temple with serene atmosphere and lush greenery.
