Known for its deep connection to Gregory the Illuminator, the founder of the Armenian Church, Khor Virap is where he was imprisoned for 14 years. As you explore, take in the breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Ararat, Armenia's national symbol and the highest peak in the Armenian Highlands. Next, make your way to the charming village of Areni, famous for its local winery.
