Journey through two of the Balkans’ most charming and healing destinations — Hisarya, Bulgaria’s ancient Roman spa town, and Baile Herculane, one of Romania’s oldest and most prestigious thermal resorts.
This 9-day cross-border tour combines balneotherapy, natural mineral springs, and cultural heritage, featuring iconic stops in Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, and Sibiu.

Day 1 – Arrival in Sofia or Plovdiv → Transfer to Hisarya
Meet & greet at Sofia or Plovdiv Airport. Private transfer to Hisarya (≈1.5 hrs).
Check-in at your 4★ spa hotel and enjoy an introductory thermal circuit.
Evening at leisure. Overnight Hisarya.

Day 2 – Wellness Consultation & Balneo Program Start
Morning medical consultation with spa specialists. Begin your personalized program: mineral bath, hydrotherapy, and mud application.
Afternoon at leisure in the thermal complex or optional yoga/stretching session.
Evening free for a stroll through Hisarya’s Roman ruins. Overnight Hisarya.

Day 3 – Day Trip: Plovdiv (UNESCO Old Town)
Full-day excursion to Plovdiv, Bulgaria’s cultural capital. Visit the Roman Theatre, Old Town, and Kapana art district. Lunch at a traditional Bulgarian restaurant.
Return to Hisarya for spa relaxation. Overnight Hisarya.

Day 4 – Transfer to Veliko Tarnovo (Cultural Stop)
Morning departure for Veliko Tarnovo (≈3 hrs). Explore the medieval Tsarevets Fortress and the charming old market street Samovodska Charshiya.
Dinner with a view of the fortress. Overnight Veliko Tarnovo in a 4★ hotel.

Day 5 – Transfer to Baile Herculane, Romania
Cross the border into Romania (≈5–6 hrs drive with scenic stops).
Arrival at Baile Herculane, nestled in the Cerna Valley between forested peaks. Check-in at your 4★ spa hotel and enjoy your first dip in the thermal pools. Overnight Baile Herculane.

Day 6 – Romanian Balneo Therapy & Leisure
Morning wellness consultation and hydro-mineral treatment program.
Optional light hike in Cerna Valley National Park or visit to the Roman Baths ruins.
Evening at leisure. Overnight Baile Herculane.

Day 7 – Day Trip: Orșova & Iron Gates Danube Gorge
Excursion to the spectacular Iron Gates Gorge, one of Europe’s most scenic river canyons.
Boat ride on the Danube and photo stop at the Decebalus Rock Sculpture.
Lunch by the water before returning to Baile Herculane. Overnight Baile Herculane.

Day 8 – Drive to Timișoara or Sibiu (Cultural Day)
Morning drive to Timișoara (European Capital of Culture 2023) or Sibiu (optional route).
Guided walking tour of historic squares and colorful architecture. Farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight Timișoara / Sibiu.

Day 9 – Departure
Breakfast and private transfer to Timișoara Airport or back to Sofia. End of services.
