描述
Discover favela art on a curated walk, meet local artists, and buy original artwork directly from them in a respectful community experience.
This experience is a curated walk through favela areas where local artists produce and showcase their work, created especially for people who want to buy art directly from the artists themselves. It is not a traditional sightseeing tour, but an authentic cultural experience focused on art, creativity, and real human connection.
The walk takes place in a community in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro, in the Pavão, Pavãozinho, and Cantagalo hills, located in the heart of two iconic neighborhoods: Copacabana and Ipanema. Even though it sits between two of the city’s most famous areas, this community preserves a rich cultural identity and a vibrant artistic scene.
During the walk, the group moves through the community in a respectful way, visiting artists where they work or display their pieces. Participants will have the opportunity to meet the artists, hear the stories behind the artworks, understand their creative processes, and speak directly about prices, techniques, and commission possibilities.
The experience also includes a visit to the Museu de Favela, located at the top of the community, where participants can learn about the memory, history, and cultural identity of the area.
This walk is ideal for travelers looking for an authentic experience in Rio de Janeiro and who want to support local art by buying original works directly from those who create them.
