Join us in in this deep dive into Balandra's beaches, mangroves, rocky reefs, and trails. Your day will be full of adventure, beautiful sights, and good company, who'll share their knowledge with you.
The day begins at Balandra beach. Your guides will meet you before opening time while in queue to enter (it's of special importance to be on time in order to guarantee entry). We'll be granted access into Balandra at 8.00 am, and will begin with the Kayaking part of the day. We'll board our tandem sit on tops kayaks, and head towards a mangrove channel, where we'll enjoy a special kind of peace, view sea birds, and invertebrates who live in the mangrove's roots. Then, we'll kayak towards one of the best hidden beaches of Balandra, to rest for a bit. We'll continue kayaking towards the rocky reef, where we'll jump into the water and snorkel with the sea life on the area for about 20-30 minutes. After kayaking and snorkeling, we'll go back to the beach to prepare for the hike. The hike takes us from Balandra beach to Tecolote beach. We'll walk on rocky hills, sandy beaches, and intertidal rocky zones. Your guide will talk to you about the history, flora, fauna, and local community. The hiking lasts, in average, 2.5 hours. It's going to be hot, but worth it! Come well prepared for that. Once the hiking is done, we'll meet our staff at the beach camp we've have had set up. We'll enjoy a delicious fresh lunch of ceviche and cold drinks. You'll have some time to enjoy the beach and relax before we finish up at 3 pm.

This is a physical adventurous day. It's important to come well hydrated and with adequate sun protection. People with back problems might have trouble with the kayaking part of the day, while people with knee problems could have a hard time hiking. Please consider this before booking. The kayaks have a weight capacity of 250 lbs (in total, for two guests). Pleas note that there is barely any phone signal at Balandra.
Our guides will find you right at the access check point to enter Balandra, where there's a big welcome sign. They'll be in MTA uniform (hat or shirt) and on a Honda Pilot with kayaks tied on top. There's no phone signal so make sure all instructions are clear, and be early in order to guarantee easy access into Balandra.
