Start your adventure at around 8:20 AM with pickup times adjusted to your location for convenience. Once at the dock, board a comfortable voadeira speedboat and set off on a scenic 40-minute journey along the beautiful Rio Preguiças. This river winds through breathtaking landscapes, where you’ll see mangroves, dunes, and diverse wildlife.
Your first stop is the village of Vassouras, famous for its deep lagoons during the rainy season that are perfect for swimming and cooling off. The village is also home to lively capuchin monkeys—curious and playful creatures that are a highlight for visitors. Spend some time enjoying the natural surroundings and capturing memorable photos.
Next, you’ll continue to the village of Mandacaru, where you can climb the historic Preguiças Lighthouse. The panoramic views from the top are spectacular, showcasing the meeting point of the river, the Atlantic Ocean, and sweeping sand dunes. At Mandacaru, explore local craft shops, try refreshing regional ice creams, and enjoy a traditional caipirinha made with fresh tropical fruits.
The final stop is Caburé Beach, a unique sandy peninsula bordered by the river on one side and the ocean on the other. This area offers the perfect balance between fresh and saltwater environments. Relax on the beach, swim in either water, or explore the natural beauty around you. Lunch will be served at one of the local beach restaurants (not included), where fresh seafood and typical northeastern Brazilian dishes await.
Throughout the tour, your experienced guide and pilot will provide interesting insights about the region’s culture and environment while ensuring a safe and smooth journey. The return trip usually begins around 2:30 PM, with arrival back at the dock around 3:30 PM.
