Big Mountain Bike Adventure: Cerro Pintor Descent
Embark on a high-altitude biking adventure starting with a private pick-up from your accommodation in Santiago. After a 1-hour drive into the Andes, we’ll arrive at La Parva ski area, where the journey begins.
From there, we start a challenging 3-hour uphill trekking approach with bikes, beginning at 2,800 meters above sea level. Our goal: the summit of Cerro El Pintor (4,180 meters), a panoramic viewpoint with jaw-dropping vistas of Cerro El Plomo, the sacred Apu of the Central Andes.
At the summit, we’ll pause to rest, enjoy lunch, and connect with the majestic mountain landscape — before gearing up for an adrenaline-filled descent.
The ride down is a technical, thrilling descent through changing terrain — alpine ridgelines, switchbacks, and rugged trails — all the way back to La Parva. This adventure is ideal for experienced riders looking for a unique full-day challenge in the heart of the Andes.
To celebrate the day, we can make a stop on the way back for a well-deserved pizza before returning to your accommodation in Santiago.
