We'll meet in front of the Avignon Opera House, for an introduction to the city's history. We'll then head to the Place du Palais to discover the world's largest Gothic palace. We'll discover how the popes arrived in Avignon and why they built this immense palace.
We'll then enter the Palais des Papes for a tour of the interior. We'll start in the Cour d'Honneur, which has been the center of a flourishing theatrical activity since 1947. We'll then visit the various rooms of the old palace. We'll make a detour to the gardens. Then we'll visit the new palace, with the pope's bedroom and the various chapels.
