Day 1: Batumi or Kutaisi to Mestia

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive through the majestic mountains towards the ancient town of Mestia, the historical and cultural centre of the Svaneti region. On the way, stop by the Enguri Dam, the second-highest dam in Europe, for breathtaking photo opportunities. Continue your journey through the gorgeous mountains of Svaneti, reaching Mestia in the afternoon. Prepare for the upcoming adventures and spend the night in Mestia.

Day 2: Mestia to Zhabeshi (14 km)

Start trekking from Mestia towards the Zhabeshi village, passing a mountain pass and old, authentic villages. The first part of the hike is an incline, offering gorgeous views of Mestia. Reach a meadow where you can take a break before continuing towards the villages. In the evening, stay overnight at a guesthouse in Zhabeshi.

Day 3: Zhabeshi to Adishi (11 km)

Hike from Zhabeshi to Adishi, a shorter but more challenging trek. Begin by hiking through the forest to the mountain top, near the cable car line, where you can stop at a cafe for coffee or tea. Continue to one of the oldest and remotest villages of the Svaneti region. In the afternoon, reach Adishi, where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the old towers and relax in a cozy bar.

Day 4: Adishi to Iprali (18.5 km)

Embark on an adventurous trek from Adishi to Iprali, accompanied by the Ushba and Tetnuldi mountains. Start with a walk through the valley, reaching a river that can be crossed by horse. Afterward, begin an incline to reach Chkhunderi Pass (2665 m), the highest point of the trip. Enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains and Adishi glacier. Take a lunch break here before descending to the opposite valley. After several kilometers of downhill hiking, reach a waterfall where you can refresh yourself. In the evening, arrive at Iprali village, where you will stay overnight.

Day 5: Iprali to Ushguli (12.5 km)

Hike from Iprali to Ushguli, a much easier trek than the previous one. Enjoy hiking in the forest and along the mountain ridge. In the afternoon, reach Ushguli, the highest-inhabited settlement in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the different settlements and ancient towers. Once you finish the trek, enjoy a walk in the old village or ride a horse if you aren’t too tired.

Day 6: Ushguli to Kutaisi or Batumi

Have enough time to explore the Lamaria Monastery, the most iconic site in Svaneti, where Georgia's most important religious relics were kept in medieval times. After this magical visit, return to Batumi or Kutaisi, driving through the amazing Zagaro Pass and enjoying the views of Lower Svaneti.
