Join our expert guides for an unforgettable tour of the iconic Eagle’s Nest or, at no extra cost, add on an audio-guided visit to the underground bunkers and / or the ruins of Hitler's former home.
Begin your tour at our office: a preserved section of Hitler’s former Alpine compound on the Obersalzberg mountain. Meet your guide and learn about the 3rd Reich history of Hitler’s one-time headquarters with the support of videos and photographs.

Next, skip the line to board a special mountain bus for the impressive ride up to the world-famous Eagle’s Nest. After a ride in the original brass-lined elevator that climbs through the core of the mountain, your guide will reveal the behind-the-scenes story of the construction and use of this world-famous building, once referred to as Hitler’s Alpine Fortress and the main objective of the Band of Brothers at the end of WWII.

Following the tour, enjoy free time to explore further and, possibly, enjoy refreshments at the Eagle’s Nest. Upon your return to the starting point, you can opt to visit the fascinating interpretive Center giving access to the underground bunker system at no extra cost. If your schedule permits, take the 5 min. downhill from the center to visit the ruins of Hitler's former residence and Alpine seat of power, known as the Berghof estate.

Eagle’s Nest Historical Tours Salzbergstrasse 43 83471 Berchtesgaden, Germany Our meeting point is located at Obersalzberg, Salzbergstrasse 43, directly at Parking Lot P1, near the entrance of the building marked Berggasthof Obersalzberg (a restaurant). The building is located at the end of Parking Lot P1. P1 is the parking lot closest to the Eagle’s Nest bus departure point (Kehlstein Busabfahrt). If P1 is full, additional parking is available at P2 (near the Documentation Center) or P3 (past the roundabout; approximately a 5-minute walk to our office).
