Varied 11-km hike around Koroni: nature, views, beaches

We will immerse ourselves in the diverse surroundings of Koroni: green hinterland, small farms, Mediterranean scents, turquoise sea, picnic on the beach, stunning views, and a refreshing drink at a tavern!
A delightful circular hike!
We will meet in the upper part of Koroni. From there, we hike out of the village, through olive groves, past small farms and green hills. You will receive interesting information about the area, the local animals and the plants along the way, for example, about the famous Kalamata table olive.

We will take a break in a shady spot overlooking the Mediterranean landscape.
We will pass by the neighboring village, and you will learn about the pithari vessels, which have traditionally been handmade in this area.
Continue towards the sea, passing a chapel and fig, almond and citrus trees.

We will relax during our picnic break on a beautiful and tranquil beach with crystal-clear water. Here, we will have the opportunity to swim as well as to collect seashells, fossils and perforated stones.

We will pass through a small, green valley and olive groves to reach a chapel in an elevated location. From here, we have a great view of the sea and can see how far we have already hiked.

We then continue along paths and footpaths. With a bit of luck, we will come across one or two goats and see lizards darting by.
Now it's just a few more steps, and just before Koroni, we'll reach the tavern right by the sea! Here, we can enjoy a soft drink.

Afterwards, we walk up the hill of Koroni. We hardly notice the moderate incline because beautiful views of the picturesque village, the harbor and the mountains opposite open up before us. The alleyways with their blue-and-white houses and their entrances, beautifully decorated with flowers, lead us back to the starting point of the hike.
