For the standard walking option, meet your guide directly at the Atomic Bomb Dome. From there, continue on foot to the hypocenter, then visit Honkawa Elementary School Peace Museum, one of the closest surviving school sites to the blast center. Walk through Peace Memorial Park at a calm pace and enter the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum to understand the event through personal belongings, photographs, testimonies, and historical exhibits. Continue to the National Peace Memorial Hall, then end at Fukuromachi Elementary School Peace Museum, where survivor messages reveal another intimate layer of Hiroshima’s postwar story.
For travelers who want a wider dark history route, choose the private vehicle option at checkout. This 10-hour version includes pickup and drop-off at your accommodation in Hiroshima city and adds Ōkunoshima, also known today as Rabbit Island.
