Embark on a mystical half-day hike in Hokkaido’s backcountry. Follow well-maintained trails through emerald forests. Discover amazing vistas, encounter elusive wildlife, and feel the pulse of nature. A journey where silence speaks louder than words.
Start at the meeting point at Makomanai Subway Station. Then travel by private van to the trailhead. Once you have completed the safety brief and discussed what to expect on the route, head off to the summit of the mountain you have chosen where you will have a break to take in the views.
There's no rush, so if you want to stop on the way to take photos, please feel free to do so. After enjoying the vistas, head back to the start point normally on the route taken on the way up. Stow your gear, then set off to the onsen to relax the muscles after an awesome hike in the Hokkaido backcountry.
