Explore Karura Forest on a guided bike tour. Ride through eucalyptus and pine stands, discover Mau Mau caves, and take a break at the hidden Karura Waterfall.
Pick up from your hotel/apartment at 8 am and proceed to Karura foret. Use the maoin park entrance which provides the most direct and scenic access to the main attractions and essential visitor facilities.

After the arrival, you will be briefed by your guide ready to start the adventure of the day.

Trekking to the Mau Mau Caves: The experience begin with your walk/riding along the shaded, color-coded trails, keeping an eye out for Sykes' monkeys swinging through the canopy and native bushbucks darting through the undergrowth.

Follow the trail as it drops toward the Karura River to reach the historic Mau Mau Caves. These sacred geological formations served as critical, hidden fortresses for freedom fighters during the 1950s struggle for independence.

Continue hiking about one kilometer further down the river trail, crossing rustic wooden bridges and navigating gentle forest slopes.

Arrive at the spectacular 50-foot Karura Waterfall. The water cascades over three distinct rocky shelves before joining the gentle flow of the river below. The viewing platform here offers excellent morning light for photography and a cool, misty atmosphere to rest.

Loop back toward the upper tracks, passing through the towering, peaceful Bamboo Grove, a favored spot for quiet reflection and meditation.

Wind your way to Lily Lake, a tranquil, repurposed old quarry surrounded by rich birdlife. You can take a leisurely stroll around the water or watch the vibrant butterflies flitting across the marshland.

Unwind with a refreshing optional drink or lunch while enjoying sweeping views of the forest canopy, listening to the resident hornbills and turacos.

Later, drive back to your hotel for the drop off by 2 pm
