The Everest Base Camp Trek is a breathtaking 12-day adventure through the Himalayas, taking you to the foot of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. The trek begins with an exhilarating flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a trek to Phakding. From Phakding, you’ll trek through Sagarmatha National Park to reach Namche Bazaar, the heart of the Khumbu region, offering stunning views of Everest, Lhotse and Thamserku.
Day 3 is spent acclimatizing in Namche, where you’ll explore the village and hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks
On Day 4, the trek leads from Namche to Tengboche, home to the Tengboche Monastery, one of the largest in the region. The trek through rhododendron and pine forests rewards you with views of Ama Dablam and other majestic peaks. In Tengboche, you’ll experience a spiritual atmosphere as monks perform their rituals.
Day 5 brings you from Tengboche to Dingboche, passing through Pangboche with views of Island Peak and Lhotse. The landscape becomes more barren as you gain altitude and Dingboche provides a peaceful, high-altitude setting.
Day 6 is another acclimatization day spent in Dingboche, with a short hike to Nangkartshang Peak for panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and the surrounding peaks.
On Day 7, you’ll trek from Dingboche to Lobuche, passing Thukla Pass, where you’ll see memorials dedicated to fallen climbers. The stunning views of Pumori, Nuptse, and Lobuche Peak make this trek unforgettable.
Day 8 is the highlight of the trek as you journey to Everest Base Camp, walking across the Khumbu Glacier and taking in the breathtaking views of the Khumbu Icefall. After reaching Base Camp, you’ll return to Gorak Shep for the night.
On Day 9, you’ll rise early to hike to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints for a sunrise over Everest and its surrounding peaks. Afterward, you’ll descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast and continue down to Pheriche.
Day 10 involves descending from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar, passing through Tengboche and Pangboche. As you retrace your steps, you’ll enjoy the changing views of the mountains and relax in Namche.
On Day 11, you’ll complete your trek by descending from Namche to Lukla, passing through Monjo and Phakding. After reaching Lukla, you’ll celebrate the end of your journey with your guide and fellow trekkers.
Day 12 marks the return flight to Kathmandu, where you’ll reflect on the unforgettable experiences, stunning landscapes and cultural immersion that made this Everest Base Camp Trek an extraordinary adventure.
