Embark on the Manaslu Circuit Trek from Kathmandu with a local guide. Trek through lush woodlands, high alpine grounds, and sheer cliffs, and cross the Larkya La Pass.
Begin your journey in Kathmandu, making your way to Soti Khola. From there, start your trek towards Machha Khola, traversing lush woodlands and following the upstream banks of the mighty Budhi Gandaki River.
Next, proceed to the Budhi Gandaki Valley towards the settlement of Jagat. From Jagat, traverse along high cliffs with a series of waterfalls cascading down on both sides of the valley. Follow the trails of the vibrant Budi Gandaki Valley to Deng.
Then head towards Namrung, witnessing grand views of the Himalayas. From Namrung, the trail follows high mountain country with alpine grassland, crossing rural and isolated communities frozen in time to the village of Samagaun.
After that, cross high alpine pasture lands with grand views of the various Himalayas and the mighty Manaslu standing at its grandeur. Reach the Tibetan refugee village of Samdo, situated very close to the Tibetan border.
From Samdo, follow the tracks of the wide pastures and cross the Budi Gandaki river to head to the isolated village of Dharamshala. Next, head towards the highest point of your trek at Larkya La Pass, one of the longest passes in the Himalayas of Nepal, situated at 5,106 meters.
At the summit of the pass, witness grand views of the landscape of Mt. Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, and other mountain ranges of Tibet. Soak in the views before heading down to the settlement of Bhimthang.
From Bhimthang, the trail takes you to Dharapani, following through a dense canopy of rhododendron and oak with miles of undergrowth. Dharapani is a village nestled in the Annapurna Circuit. Then, head on a long drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (710 meters /2328 feet) Duration: 7-8 hours.
Day 2: Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900 meters/2952 feet) Duration: 5-6 hours.
Day 3: Trek to Jagat (1340 meters/4395 feet) Duration: 6-7 hours.
Day 4: Trek to Deng (2095 meters/6871 feet) Duration: 6-7 hours
Day 5: Trek to Namrung (2900 meters/9512 feet) Duration: 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Trek to Samagaun (3500 meters/11480 feet) Duration: 6-7 hours.
Day 7: Trek to Samdo (3690 meters/12103 feet) Duration: 4-5 hours.
Day 8: Trek to Dharamshala (4450 meters/14596 feet) Duration: 4-5 hours.
Day 9: Trek to Bimthang (3720 meters/12, 201 feet) via Larkya La pass (5,106 meters) Duration: 7-9 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Dharapani (1860 meters ) Duration: 6-7 hours.
