Start your day hike in the village of Dhampus, which is approximately a 1-hour and 30-minute drive from Pokhara. Explore the charming Gurung village perched on a ridge with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.

Follow the trail to Australian Camp, which is relatively easy and well-defined. Pass through lush forests, terraced farmlands, and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

As you ascend along the trail, be treated to breathtaking vistas of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Lamjung Himal. The trail is dotted with rhododendron forests, especially during the spring season (March to April), when the blossoms create a colorful landscape.

After hiking for about 1 to 2 hours, reach Australian Camp (also known as Australian Base Camp), which is a popular viewpoint located at an elevation of around 2,100 meters (6,889 feet). The site offers stunning sunrise and sunset views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

After spending some time at Australian Camp and enjoying the mesmerizing scenery, retrace your steps back to Dhampus, where you can find transportation back to Pokhara.
