A day away from the crowds. Visit Lake Prespa, take a boat trip to Pelican Island, experience the rich birdlife of the area, and enjoy the unique nature of this lesser-known region.
Join us for a day trip to Lake Prespa and Pelican Island (Golem Grad), one of the most interesting and least visited places in Macedonia.

We start with a drive through Galicica National Park, including a stop for beautiful views over Lake Ohrid. After reaching Lake Prespa, we'll stop for a coffee by the lake before boarding a boat to Pelican Island.

During the boat trip, you'll see the area's rich birdlife and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Lake Prespa. Upon arrival on the island, we'll first enjoy a simple lunch before taking a walk to learn more about its history, nature and the remains of old churches and settlements.

After exploring the island, we'll return by boat and make a short stop in Stenje, where there is time for a swim in Lake Prespa. We then head back to Ohrid.

This excursion is ideal for travellers who enjoy nature, birdlife and discovering places that most visitors never get to see. The boat ride, wildlife and swimming stop also make it a great day out for families with children.
