FIRST DAY
AREQUIPA | CHIVAY | CABANACONDE | PALLCA
We will pick you up very early in the morning 3:15 am to travel for 3hrs to the colca valley to enjoy a traditional breakfast then it is time to continue for one more hour to the main lookout point named Cóndor cross to observe the 2nd largest flying bird in the world besides the great views of the Colca Canyon, next we get the starting point for our 5hrs hours hike this day we descend about 1300mts using a winding path to get to one of the deepest parts of the canyon, the hike is just unbelievable, pick up some local fruits if it is possible and refresh yourself you still have more chances to see condors flying over the mountains as well as some nests on the Canyon walls later on the path leads us to the Colca river and to 2 litle villages called TURUÑA and PALLCA where we enjoy a delicious lunch prepare with organic products from the area, you have a free afternoon to rest, relax the muscles in the thermal baths or to explore the village interacting with the locals.
7:00 pm we have a nice dinner with our tour guide who is going to explain us about the culture, ethnic groups and traditions that are still alive in the Canyon as well as the plan for the next day.
SECOND DAY
PALLCA | TURUÑA | APACHETA |ANFITEATRO | OASIS
7:00 am breakfast will be served, todays hike is for about 5hrs to reach the Oasis, we begins crossing a hanging bridge to get the small Turuña village where the locals do an arduous job leading the water from a the mountains to their land so that they can grow some vegetables necessary for their subsistence, after 2:30 hrs of climbing we arrive to the Apacheta, take a rest and eat something then we descend 2:30 hrs approximately we have to cross the Amphitheater a singular place built by Pre-Incas, the last part of hike takes Approximately 40min of a zig zag downhill trail where flora makes this hike unforgettable, arrive to the Oasis now it is time to refresh yourself jump into the pool or simply rest and enjoy lunch later we get our bungalows, take afternoon free to explore this magical place walking through its forest or just to relax and enjoy the scenery drinking a delicious cocktail
7:00 pm dinner will be served then briefing about the agenda for the next day.
THIRD DAY
OASIS | CABANA town | VALLEY OF FIRE | AREQUIPA
4:30am begins our 3hrs uphill hike taking a mountain climber pace in order to make good use of our energy and achieve our goal (the top of the canyon) we arrive to Cabana town to have breakfast and rest, then we take our transportation to return through the colca valley and its thousands of beautiful Pre-Inca terraces later we arrive to the thermo-medicinal baths to relax and relieve the sore muscles, the next place to stop is Chivay, enjoy the last lunch after that we go back to Arequipa, on way we stop inside of the vicuña national reserve to learn everything about south american camels, the service ends in Arequipa city around 5:00 pm
