If we are able to visit the communities of the popular neighborhoods, it is thanks to the prior authorization of the local leaders, 18 in total, of which 15 are women. In the past, the Human Settlements have been abused by foreigners. Therefore, on all visits, a local leader representing the community will be part of the group to ensure a positive and satisfactory experience for all.
Colorful clothing is strongly recommended, as it is considered friendly by the locals. Dark colors, on the other hand, are associated with bad luck or bad omens. It is important to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as well as sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat to enjoy a more comfortable tour. Also, don't forget to bring a bottle of water and an extra battery for your camera.
