After our transportation picks you up at your hotel, depart Puno on the first day of the tour and head to the artificial floating islands of the Uros and be amazed by the magnificent scenery that surrounds you. Next, enjoy a 3-hour boat ride to Amantani Island and watch as local families run down the hill to greet you warmly. Meet your assigned local host family and learn about their culture and traditional experience. Enjoy a lunch prepared with local products and then interact with them until dinner time. After dinner, attend a festive show together with your host family and enjoy dancing and live music. The next day, very early, enjoy a delicious breakfast with your host family, then say goodbye to them in excitement and depart for Taquile Island, a high Andean Quechua-speaking community, located in the heart of Lake Titicaca. When you arrive at the port of Taquile, start walking along a cobblestone path until you reach the main square of the island. During the walk you will be able to see the magnificent natural landscapes, including the nearby mountains of Bolivia. Once you reach the top, your local guide will tell you stories and anecdotes about the experiences lived in Taquile. Afterwards, take some free time to walk and explore, then have lunch at a local restaurant. Finally, walk to the port and board the boat that will take you back to Puno.
