Begin your journey with a pickup from the airport or your accommodation. Head to Sinaia to visit Peles Castle, a former residence of the Romanian Royal Family. Step back in time and see how kings lived a century ago. Next, visit Bran Castle, famously known as Dracula’s Castle and the most visited tourist attraction in Romania.

Enter further into Transylvania and reach Brasov, one of the seven medieval cities of Transylvania. Enjoy a relaxing walk in the old city and settle in for the night.

On the second day, visit the Saxon Villages of Viscri and Malancrav, with their fortified churches and castles, part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local’s home, experiencing the true hospitality of Romanian people.

Then, reach Sighisoara, also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Visit the Medieval Citadel and its Square, Tailor’s Bastion (where Vlad the Impaler grew up), and other historical monuments or churches: Stag House, Venetian House, Dominican Monastery, and Student Stairs. Overnight in Sighisoara

On the third day, stop in another representative Saxon Village, Biertan, and visit the Fortified Church in Romanesque style, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Then, reach Sibiu, where you’ll have a relaxing walk in the historical city center, including Large Square, Small Square, and Liars’ Bridge.

The Council Tower offers a splendid panoramic view of the city. Continue to the over 300-year-old Lutheran and Catholic Churches, then the Orthodox Cathedral, built after the great cathedral from Constantinople, Saint Sophia.

On the fourth day, depending on the time of your flight back home, either return to Bucharest through the traditional road on Olt River Valley or, if you’re traveling from July to October, take the Transfagarasan, the “best road in the world” according to Jeremy Clarkson, famous former co-presenter of UK TV show Top Gear. Drive up to 2034 meters altitude, where you’ll find Balea glacial lake and waterfall after going through the longest auto tunnel in Romania, 887 meters long. Finally, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
