Embark on a 3-day guided bike tour along the Congo Nile Trail from Rubavu-Gisenyi. Cycle through rural villages, enjoy local cuisine, and take in stunning views of Lake Kivu.
Begin your adventure with a warm welcome and briefing at your hotel in Rubavu. If needed, arrange transport from Kigali.
On Day 1, enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off on a 36-kilometer ride to Kinunu. Cycle through rural villages, stopping for photos and a taste of local bananas. Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch in the fishing village of Nkora. Continue to your hotel, a charming spot on the beach.
On Day 2, ride 29 kilometers to Bumba, navigating dirt trails and paved roads. Tackle steep sections with ease on an electric mountain bike, rewarded with stunning panoramic views at the top of the hill where your guesthouse awaits.
On Day 3, embark on a 33-kilometer ride to Kibuye. Choose between challenging routes or easier paths, enjoying breathtaking views and friendly encounters with local children. Finish your journey in Kibuye, a town known for its beautiful bays and sparkling waters.

• This tour is guided & available to couples, families (from the age of 13) and groups up to 12 people
• Groups with 3 or more people are required to include a support vehicle to carry your luggage
• A boat can be organised to transport you back to Rubavu or onward to your next destination along the lake (if you only want to do 1 day of riding)
• This tour can be done in reverse: Kibuye > Kinunu > Rubavu
• Prices may vary depending on extra activities, bike choice (MTB or E-MTB), vehicle hire, etc.
• This tour includes physical activity, E-MTB’s are recommended
• This tour is flexible and can be done in 1, 2, 3 or even 4 days, depending on your needs
