Wenshu Chali: Steal a Moment of Leisure amid the Bustling City
Nestled in Wenshufang of Chengdu, right beside the thousand‑year‑old Wenshu Monastery, Wenshu Chali is a serene tea retreat amid lively local streets. Surrounded by the Zen atmosphere of the ancient red‑wall temple, all the hustle and bustle fades away the moment you step in, leaving only the aroma of tea lingering in the air.
The venue features elegant traditional Chinese decor, with wooden screens and artistic ornaments arranged tastefully. It offers indoor booths, private rooms, and pleasant outdoor seating. Sitting on bamboo and rattan furniture, you can enjoy soft breezes and birdsong, perfect for unwinding. It serves fine teas from various Sichuan producing areas, such as Mengding Mountain tea and ancient‑tree black tea. There is also the traditional charcoal‑boiled tea. Professional tea masters brew each cup carefully. The mellow tea brings fresh mountain fragrance, paired with delicate pastries for a truly relaxing experience.
There is no need to rush through sightseeing. Slow down here, watch crowds stroll along the lanes, listen to the gentle sound of boiling water pouring into teapots, and experience Chengdu’s signature laid‑back lifestyle. After visiting Wenshu Monastery, stop by for a cup of tea. Let the tea scent wash away your restlessness.
A cup of tea brings inner peace. At Wenshu Chali, you get to experience the blend of Zen and everyday Chengdu life, finding calm and ease in every sip.
