Sinharaja Rain forest is a UNESCO world heritage site located in the Southwest of Sri Lanka. Spanning approximately 18900 hectares,it is one of the last remaining rainforest on the Island and is renowned for it's rich biodiversity. The forest is home to numerous endemic species of Flora and fauna including many rare birds, reptiles and mammals. Sinharaja's dense canopy and intricate ecosystem make it a vital area for conservation efforts. You can explore it's lush trails, experience it's vibrant wildlife and the unique natural beauty that has earned it a reputation as a biodiversity hotspot.
Additionally you can enjoy the moment of having a Ceylon cup of tea with a local family living in the rainforest, one of the best refreshments after 4 Km walk in the forest. The total journey of nearly 6 Km walking up and down in the rainforest will finally end up with a refreshing bath in the crystal clear waters of a serene forest stream, surrounded by the gentle sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds.
