Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha. Travel through the beautiful Kilimanjaro countryside to Materuni Village, located on the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Meet your local guide and begin a rewarding hike through coffee farms, banana plantations, and tropical vegetation.
The trail takes approximately 45–60 minutes each way and leads to the magnificent Materuni Waterfall, where mountain water plunges dramatically into the valley below. Enjoy the refreshing mist, peaceful scenery, and excellent photography opportunities while learning about the surrounding landscape and Chagga community.
Return to the village for an interactive farm-to-cup coffee experience. Learn how locally grown Arabica beans are cultivated, harvested, dried, roasted, ground, and traditionally brewed. Continue to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, a hidden natural oasis surrounded by tropical vegetation and sprawling fig trees. Although commonly called hot springs, the water is naturally refreshing rather than hot. Spend the afternoon swimming, floating, taking photographs, or relaxing beside the clear turquoise water.
At the end of the experience, meet your driver-guide for a comfortable return transfer to Moshi or Arusha.
