The Museum of Broken Relationships in Chiang Mai is an ever-evolving collection of objects donated by people around the world. All of them symbolize the end of a relationship. They are all displayed anonymously, using the compelling personal narratives of their former owners as the only text.
Started in 2006 by two artists in Zagreb (Croatia) who searched for a way to commemorate their relationship even after it ended, the Museum of Broken Relationships has captured hearts and imaginations across different cultures, holding more than sixty traveling exhibitions around the globe.
The Museum of Broken Relationships Asian branch found a home in the historical Yong Chiang Building. It is an unavoidable sight in your exploration of Chiang Mai and a must-visit for anyone who has ever loved and lost.
