Pai is a lovely destination in the Mae Hong Son province, famous for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful nature. It is a destination that cannot be missed when visiting Thailand. This day tour from Chiang Mai is a great choice if you would like to visit the highlights of Pai, without having to stay overnight there.
Your day starts early at 7 AM, where you will be picked up by private car from your hotel in Chiang Mai. Sit back and relax, while you enjoy the beautiful views on one of the most scenic roads in the world with 762 turns which takes about 3,5 hours.
Arrive in Pai and visit the memorial bridge of World War 2, overlooking the river. Climb about 300 steps at Chedi Phra That Mae Yen to visit the big white Buddha on the top of the hill and enjoy the magnificent view over the valley. Pai Canyon is our next stop, where you can admire the peculiar rock formations and cliffs formed by wind and water.
Imagine yourself in China in Santichon Village, a picturesque village settled by Chinese refugees. It even has a replica of the Great Wall, a great place to take pictures. Next, soak in the beautiful views at Yun Lai Viewpoint overlooking the valley of Pai.
Our last stop will be at the little town of Pai. Walk around and fall in love with the magical atmosphere of the cute restaurants, bars and shops. Latest 4 PM we will start our 3,5 hours journey back to Chiang Mai with unforgettable memories made in lovely Pai.

The road between Chiang Mai and Pai has many turns and takes about 3,5 hours one-way. On this day tour you will be about 7 hours in the car. Please prepare yourself in case you are prone to motion sickness.
The driver of the private car speaks a little bit of English, just enough to communicate about the tour. Though it is not a proper tour guide.
The size of the car depends on the amount of people booked. A standard car will be used for smaller groups, while a van will be used for bigger groups.
Make sure you are dressed properly by temple standards to visit the temple: no bare shoulders, no bare knees.
Thailand's rainfall is unpredictable, particularly during the monsoon season from May to December. Rest assured, the tour is guaranteed to proceed if conditions are safe, even in rain.
Entrance fees might be changed by the owner slightly and are unannounced, this is out of our control.
In the crop burning season from January to April, visibility might be less and is out of our control.
