Mary Queen of Scots led a brutal life filled with treachery and betrayal. Experience a unique and thrilling escape room based on the life of one of Scotland's most famous members of the Royal Family.
The Story:
Mary Queen of Scots led a dramatic, bloody life saturated in murder, deceit and treachery. Throughout her life Mary was repeatedly deceived by a group of immoral Scottish Nobles. So ruthless were their acts they even murdered her best friend David Rizzio, by stabbing him over 50 times as she watched helplessly.
Towards the end of her life she sought refuge, trusting in her cousin Queen Elizabeth I. She was lured to her death, as Elizabeth coldly ordered her execution. Mary met her tragic end, beheaded by three gruesome strikes of a blunt axe.
The brutality of Mary’s life gave rise to a vengeful spirit. Following countless unexplained deaths, authorities closed Sandyford Castle and erased its existence from history. The haunted castle has lay derelict and abandoned for centuries.
You are part of a group of spiritual mediums who are determined to uncover the secrets of Mary’s life. You have ignored all warnings and remain resolute in your determination to lay her malefic ghost to rest. Will you succeed, or will you become another victim of the castle?

Please arrive at the time stated on your booking.
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed ready for your escape room to commence. You’ll have the scene set for your game: The Ghost of Mary Queen of Scots. Each game comes with specially designed sets and props that are crafted in Glasgow. Your escape room booking will be a 90 minute slot involving a 15 minute briefing, 60 minutes to escape the room and 15 minutes to capture a team photo at the end and to answer any questions you have about the experience.

Our front door has the sign eeek! Escape Rooms. You access our venue through a common stair and we are located on the Top Floor. We are next door to a Restaurant named Van Winkles Bourbon Bar & Grill.

- On arrival you will be greeted by your dedicated host your Games Master who will show you into our reception.
- Your escape room booking will be enjoyed as part of a 90 minute slot.
- Your game will begin with a safety briefing, followed by an introduction to the story behind your chosen game.
- You will have at least 60 minutes to play the game. Your host will be on hand throughout your experience to provide helpful hints when required.
- At the end of the game your host will help you capture a team photo and answer any questions about the experience that you may have and gladly provide recommendations for other activities in the area.
