Begin your journey with a visit to a Hokkaido winery, where the cool climate and large day–night temperature swings create wines with balanced sugar and acidity. Next, head to the Niseko Distillery, located at the foot of Mount Annupuri. This craft distillery is known for its elegant, well-balanced Japanese whisky, made with pristine local water. Finally, visit the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, established in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru in pursuit of the ideal place for whisky making. The grounds evoke the brand’s heritage and northern climate.
