Hands-on introductory flamenco workshop

Discover flamenco from the inside at Tablao El Cardenal. Learn its rhythm, handclaps, and basic movements in an experience designed for beginners.
Don't just watch flamenco. Feel it.

Enter the world of flamenco at Tablao Flamenco El Cardenal in Córdoba and discover this extraordinary Andalusian art form through a fun and interactive experience created especially for beginners.

Meet your flamenco instructor and start by learning about the compás, the rhythm at the heart of flamenco. Learn how performers accompany that rhythm with handclaps, and try to follow it yourself.

Then explore some of the movements that give flamenco its unique character. Learn the basic body posture and simple arm and hand movements before trying some introductory footwork and experiencing how a flamenco dancer's feet become part of the rhythm.

There's no complicated choreography to learn, and no previous dance experience is required.

The goal is not to turn you into a flamenco dancer in an hour. It's to let you experience flamenco from the inside, so you can better understand the rhythm, the movement, and the communication between the artists that make a live flamenco performance so special.

Toward the end of the session, you'll put together some of the elements you've learned in a simple and enjoyable group sequence.

The experience takes place at Tablao Flamenco El Cardenal and is limited to a maximum of 12 participants, creating a relaxed atmosphere where your instructor can interact with the group.

After experiencing flamenco from the inside, you'll never see it the same way again.
