Capture the beauty of Bhutan on a 3-day photography tour from Paro. Visit Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, and Punakha Dzong, and explore Thimphu's cultural landmarks and Dochula Pass.
Day 1: Paro Heritage, Temples & Valley Landscapes
Begin your journey with a private pickup from your hotel or another agreed location in Paro. Photograph the valley, traditional homes, fields, and mountain backdrops. Explore Rinpung Dzong and its scenic surroundings.
Visit Kyichu Lhakhang and photograph permitted cultural details. Enjoy an optional walk through Paro town for street photography and local crafts. End the day with sunset photography from a suitable viewpoint, weather permitting. Overnight in Paro.
Day 2: Thimphu Culture & Dochula Pass Landscapes
Depart for Thimphu and photograph the changing mountain scenery along the route. Visit Buddha Dordenma for panoramic views. Explore selected cultural landmarks such as the Memorial Chorten or Tashichho Dzong, subject to opening hours and access.
Continue towards Dochula Pass for prayer flags, chortens, and Himalayan views. Spend extra time photographing the pass and surrounding forest. Continue to Punakha for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Punakha Dzong, Rivers & Traditional Villages
Begin with morning photography around Punakha Valley. Visit Punakha Dzong and its surrounding river landscape. Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge for elevated river views and photographs of the valley.
Explore nearby village scenery and traditional Bhutanese homes, respecting private property and local customs. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and final photography stops. Finish with a private transfer to Thimphu or Paro, depending on your onward travel plans and available time.
