CHOLITAS WRESTLING SHOW:
Experience one of the most authentic and surprising activities in Bolivia, in the city of El Alto (4,100 m.a.s.l.), where tradition, culture, and adrenaline come together in a unique show.
PICK-UP:
We will meet in the courtyard of the Coca Museum, just a few steps from the famous Witches’ Market, in downtown La Paz.
TRANSPORT & EXPERIENCE:
From the very beginning, you will be accompanied by our team of guides.
Logistics vary depending on the day — here’s how it works:
TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS:
We will travel by private bus to El Alto (approx. 40 minutes) and arrive at an impressive Cholet, a colorful building that represents pride, success, and the identity of local families.
MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS:
We will start with a short walk to the Purple Line cable car (Obelisco Station). Enjoy breathtaking views of La Paz as we ascend to El Alto.
Then, we continue by private transport (approx. 20 minutes) to the House of the Cholita Wrestler, a space created with passion and dedication by the LIDER company, where you will:
- Learn the meaning behind each garment
- Explore colorful spaces full of culture and surprises.
SUNDAYS:
We will travel by private bus (approx. 35 minutes) to a local coliseum, where you will experience a more intense and authentic atmosphere, with stronger crowd interaction.
THE SHOW:
Get ready for an afternoon full of excitement, acrobatics, and Andean culture.
You will see the cholita wrestlers — icons of strength and female empowerment — who will amaze you with their skill and charisma.
You will also enjoy male wrestling matches that represent the Andean concept of Chachawarmi, an ancestral vision of balance between complementary energies.
RETURN:
Every day we return to downtown La Paz:
7:45 p.m. (direct bus)
8:15 p.m. (with cable car)
Final stop: San Francisco Main Square, near the Witches’ Market.

Please check your booking date carefully, as the logistics, show location, and type of transportation may vary.
In some cases, two types of transport are used (cable car and bus).
We recommend arriving on time at the meeting point to avoid delays.
Wear comfortable and warm clothing, as El Alto is at high altitude and temperatures can be cold.
No additional stops are included during the tour due to traffic and the scheduled timing of the activity.
Meet the guide in the patio of the Coca Museum, (where you can also find many souvenirs) they will be waiting for you with their cholita wrestling board and their uniform, a t-shirt with the company logo. Cholitas Wrestling LÍDER.

Esta excursión se puede cancelar sin costo alguno hasta :tiempo de cancelación horas antes del inicio del viaje. Si lo cancela después de 24 horas o no se presenta en la excursión, se le cobrará el precio total de la actividad. El retraso en la recogida o en la salida se considerará como no presentarse.
