Discover the beauty of Chobe National Park and Impalila Island on a day trip from Livingstone or Victoria Falls. Enjoy a game drive, a guided village walk, and a boat cruise.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from Livingstone (Zambia) or Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) around 7:00–7:30 AM. Drive to the Kazungula border post (about 1 hour) and cross into Botswana (Kasane) after completing immigration formalities.
Transfer by boat across the Chobe River to Impalila Island (Namibia). Enjoy a guided village walk to learn about Namibian traditions. Climb the ancient baobab tree for panoramic views of four countries (Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe) and go birdwatching along the river channels.
Return by boat to Kasane late morning. Have lunch in Kasane (picnic or lodge meal) before entering Chobe National Park for a game drive (3 hours). Expect to see elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, antelope, and rich birdlife.
Alternatively, swap the game drive for a Chobe River boat cruise if you prefer water-based wildlife viewing. Exit the park around 4:00–4:30 PM and transfer back to Livingstone (Zambia) or Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) by early evening.
