In the morning, our driver and guide will meet you directly at your hotel in Beijing at your prearranged time. You will board our comfortable private vehicle and travel directly to the starting point of the hike at Jiankou Great Wall. ( It takes about 2 hours to reach at the Jiankou Great Wal). No transfers, no crowded public transport, and no extra walking is needed—you can relax and enjoy the scenery on the way.

Upon arrival at Jiankou, your professional guide will give you a detailed safety briefing, explain the hiking route, and check your basic condition. Then the guided trek begins. The guide will lead the whole way, showing you the safest and most scenic path, helping you over steep and difficult sections, carrying small necessities if needed, and taking photos for you along the way. During the hike, the guide will introduce the history of the Great Wall, explain how the watchtowers and defensive systems worked, and share interesting local stories. The entire crossing from Jiankou to Mutianyu will be under professional guidance and full protection.


The trek from Jiankou to Mutianyu stretches approximately 8 to 10 kilometers, typically taking 4 to 6 hours to complete. Jiankou presents the raw charm of the wild Great Wall: crumbling watchtowers, narrow ridges, and dramatic cliffside paths that showcase the wall’s original appearance over centuries. Every step reveals the grandeur of ancient military architecture, with unobstructed views of rolling mountains and dense vegetation. As you proceed eastward, the wall gradually transforms from rugged ruins into the well-maintained, majestic structure of Mutianyu.

Upon reaching Mutianyu, the atmosphere shifts to a more accessible yet equally impressive section of the Great Wall. The guide will continue to share historical insights, pointing out architectural features and cultural significance that might otherwise go unnoticed. After the hike, you can take the cable car or toboggan down( at your own expense ) the mountain, adding a touch of leisure to the day’s adventure.

After you get on the car, we will drive you back to your hotel, ending the whole day"s Great Wall tour safely and smoothly.
