This full-day experience combines a visit to some of the most representative fishing villages on the western coast of Asturias with the observation of the 2026 total solar eclipse from one of the best vantage points in Spain.

The day begins in Oviedo, with a subsequent pick-up in Gijón, to head for Cudillero. There, there is a guided visit of one of the most iconic fishing towns in Asturias, followed by free time to stroll through its streets, enjoy the seaside atmosphere, and have lunch.

Afterwards, the excursion continues to the area around La Regalina, where there is a short panoramic stop before arriving in Luarca. Considered by experts and astronomy enthusiasts to be one of the best spots in northern Spain – and even in the country – to observe the 2026 total solar eclipse, Luarca lies within the maximum totality zone and will offer exceptional conditions to experience this unique phenomenon.

In Luarca, there will be a guided visit of the town, followed by free time to stroll around and enjoy its harbor, streets, and vantage points before the most eagerly awaited moment of the day.

The last part of the activity will take place in the Fonte Baxa Forest-Garden, a unique natural enclave with stunning views of the Cantabrian Sea. This space, considered one of the most special corners of Luarca, will be the chosen setting to observe both the partial eclipse and the totality. The combination of nature, coastline, and total darkness will make the experience a truly unforgettable moment.

Throughout the tour, the tour guide will accompany the coach journey, providing explanations about the towns visited, the culture of the Asturian coast, and the astronomical phenomenon of the eclipse. The excursion will end with the return to Gijón and Oviedo.
