The experience begins at the entrance to the Omaha Beach Golf Course, perched on the heights of the Bessin, facing the English Channel, in the heart of an area steeped in history. Since 2026, this coastline has been part of the D-Day Beaches of Normandy 1944, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an international recognition that underscores the exceptional nature of these sites of remembrance. It is in this unique setting, between cliffs, the sea and the Normandy countryside, that your introduction will take place.

You will be welcomed by Florian Guyon, a golf coach with a DESJEPS (French State Diploma in Sports Performance), coach for the Normandy League and a former Top 10 French amateur golfer. Passionate about teaching as much as about performance, he has chosen to introduce people to his sport in one of the most spectacular settings on the Normandy coast.

With clarity and kindness, he tailors his approach to each individual, from the curious beginner to the occasional player, so that every participant can progress at their own pace and fully enjoy the experience.

After an introduction to the site, its panorama and the structure of the activity, a straightforward familiarization with the equipment allows you to learn the basics of golf in a fun way that is accessible to everyone, with no prior experience needed. Stance, grip, initial swings: everything is explained step by step, in a relaxed and pressure-free atmosphere.

The walk then continues on the Omaha Beach golf course, renowned for its sweeping views of the sea and the surrounding countryside, moving from vantage point to vantage point. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to play a few shots in real-life situations, always under supervision and tailored to your level.

As you walk and play, Florian shares insights about the D-Day landings of 1944, the history of Normandy and the local biodiversity, directly linked to the landscape, the cliff formations and the natural environment around you. This historical dimension, unique to this one-of-a-kind golf course, gives the walk a special depth: here, every golf shot is played on land that has left its mark on 20th-century history.

The experience concludes in a calm and friendly atmosphere with a small food tasting of regional products, intended as a moment of togetherness at the end of the walk. Depending on availability at the time, it may include local caramel biscuits, cider, apple juice and, sometimes, a small glass of Calvados for enthusiasts. There is nothing set in stone about this food tasting; it is simply a gesture of Norman hospitality, reflecting the convivial atmosphere that accompanies the entire experience.

Combining an introduction to the sport, a panorama of the English Channel, the memory of the D-Day landings and local delicacies, this activity offers an original and sensory way to discover Normandy – active, cultural and delicious – in an exceptional natural setting.
