2 Days 1 Night Summit Trek – Mount Rinjani
This program is ideal if you want to reach the summit of Mount Rinjani in a short time while still experiencing some of Lombok’s most spectacular landscapes. The trek starts and ends in Sembalun Village.
Day 1 – Trek to Sembalun Crater Rim
07:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Senaru
08:15 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Sembalun
Register at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) and begin trekking.
Trekking Route:
Start → POS-1 (1,300 m) – ~2 hours
Short break (5–10 minutes)
Continue to POS-2 (1,500 m) – ~1 hour
Short break (5–10 minutes)
Continue to POS-3 (1,800 m) – ~1 hour
Lunch break at POS-3 (~2 hours)
Enjoy a hot drink (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, or lemon tea).
After lunch, continue trekking to:
Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m) – ~3 hours
Overnight:
Camp at the crater rim.

View of Segara Anak
Panoramic scenery of North Lombok
Day 2 – Summit Attempt & Descent
02:00 AM – Wake-up call with hot drink and light breakfast
Begin summit trek in the dark (headlamp/flashlight required)
Summit Trek:
Duration: ~3.5 hours
Terrain: sandy and gravel sections (challenging but manageable with guides)
At the Summit:
Reach 3,726 m (summit of Mount Rinjani)
Enjoy sunrise views over:
Bali
Sumbawa
Lombok and the Gili Islands
Take photos and short rest
Descent:
Return to crater rim campsite
Breakfast prepared by porters
Continue descent back to Sembalun Village
