Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your location in Yogyakarta, Probolinggo, Banyuwangi, or Bali. After arriving at the Paltuding base camp, you will receive a safety briefing and high-quality gas masks to ensure a comfortable hike.
The 1.5 to 2-hour trek takes you through starlit mountain paths to the crater rim. Descend into the crater to see the "Blue Fire" created by combusting sulfuric gases (depending on weather and volcanic conditions). After witnessing the flames, climb to the peak for a breathtaking sunrise over the Ijen highlands.
Observe the sulfur miners at work and take in the panoramic views of the turquoise lake before trekking back down for your return transfer.
