Meet your guide near Endoji Shopping Street and begin your walk through one of Nagoya’s long-established local shopping areas. Stroll beneath the covered arcade, where independent shops, small restaurants, cafés, and traditional businesses create a nostalgic neighborhood atmosphere.

Your guide will introduce the history of the district and point out architectural details, small shrines, unusual storefronts, and hidden corners that are easy to miss when exploring alone. Depending on opening hours, you may also have the chance to discover local sweets, snacks, or specialty shops. Food and drinks are optional and can be purchased individually.

Continue into Shikemichi, one of Nagoya’s most distinctive historic areas. The district developed as a merchant neighborhood during the Edo period, and traces of that history remain in its old storehouses, traditional townhouses, stone walls, and narrow streets.
