Yoshino, Nara: Cherry Blossom Hiking Tour With Temple Visit

Hike up through a forested river valley, emerging into a panoramic view of cherry blossoms. Walk down through a ridgeline temple district, visit historic sites, and learn about the Shugendo faith.
This guided cherry blossom hiking tour begins at Kintetsu Yamato-Kamiichi Station, where you meet your guide and travel by private vehicle to Kisa-dani Valley. The hike starts along the forested Miyataki Manyo Path, which heads toward the Kami-senbon cherry blossom grove. Walking for over four hours at a relaxed pace, you’ll learn about Yoshino’s history and why the cherry blossom tree is considered sacred in the local Shugendo faith. The tour includes scenic viewpoints, photo spots, a lunch break surrounded by cherry blossoms, and a visit to Kinpusen-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before concluding at Yoshino Station.

The guide will be waiting at the meeting point in an easy-to-find location.
The tour operates in light rain but will be canceled in the event of heavy rain.
Please note that this tour involves more than four hours of walking.
Schedules may be delayed due to crowd conditions during the cherry blossom season.
Customers will receive a full refund if the tour is canceled due to heavy rain.

Please arrive at the meeting point ready for hiking, carrying only what you can manage comfortably.
Coin lockers are available at Kashiharajingu-mae Station and Yoshino Station; however, there are no coin lockers at Yamato-Kamiichi Station, where is the meeting point.
Please note that we are unable to accommodate vegetarian diets or food allergies. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own lunch.
